A woman was killed on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police said they were dispatched to the PCH between Brookhurst and Magnolia streets at 2:08 a.m., and found the body on the highway.
A 37-year-old man from Newport Beach was stopped in his gray Toyota Highlander, and police said he was cooperative. No arrests were made.
Police said the driver was traveling north on PCH, and the pedestrian had been crossing the highway.
PCH was closed until 8:50 a.m. as an investigation was conducted by the Huntington Beach police Major Incident Response Team.
